In a few words...

Indicators, graphical views, reading and exploration tools can be attached to computer mediated tools and learning environments to better access, understand and analyze activities, so as to offer a support to researchers, moderators or even technology based activities' participants.

During last years, several researchers have proposed and tested different computer based Interaction Analysis  (IA) tools and it is time to find a first agreement among researchers about which tools can be provided on a standard basis and explore new tools (for example linguistic tools), methods and visualizations approaches.

In this workshop, we will focus more on IA tools for asynchronous systems, such as: Discussions Forums, lists, blogs, etc. However, researchers having worked on IA tools for synchronous learning environments are also welcoming to contribute.

The Workshop: Interaction Analysis and Visualization: Analysis' Methods, Tools and Research Questions, will  be held in conjunction to CSCL2009 Conference, 8-13 June, Rhodes,Greece.
